Preparations For Departure
This devised piece was about a family of immigrants from Eastern Europe living in the Lower East Side of Manhattan in the late 19th century. The live music consisted of one song that was manipulated over the course of the show to take on a variety of different styles and moods. Some styles used include: a children's song, an Americana folk song, an Eastern European polonaise, a funereal song.
