GoalsAs a sound designer / composer, my goal is to work on the border between sound and music, recognizing that each needs the strengths of the other. I like to spend as much time in the rehearsal room as possible in order to make sure the sound / music become fully-realized characters in the play.As a musical director, my goal is instrumental performances at the Broadway level. Every performance relies on an intuitive connection with the singers, which allows me to prioritize supporting them on their vocal and emotional journeys. In the rehearsal room, my goal is to treat singers more like musicians than is traditional. Conversely, my goal is to treat musicians more like actors than is traditional.More broadly, my goal is to bring greater comfort and expression to people scared of or unfamiliar with their voices.
