About Me
Daniel Perelstein grew up in the suburbs of New York as well as in London, England. He began playing piano at the age of 4. By the time he was beginning high school, he was confident as a musician (playing piano, upright bass, electric bass, and guitar).
In high school, Daniel spent 4 years playing electric bass in a rock band, with whom he wrote music collaboratively. It was with this band that he was first exposed to recording and audio technologies. He simultaneously was spending time in the theater, as an actor in school and a pit musician around New York.
In college, Daniel studied music and electrical engineering. He felt like each of those disciplines on its own was missing something. Consequently, he spent most of his time working in the theater department, where he found he was able to combine all of his talents.
Since being out of school, Daniel has continued his explorations and constant questioning.
